Any health worker (licensed, certified, or registered) is eligible for a sizable education
award which can be used to re-pay their student loans or continue their education.
The program requires they be newly employed with an APC qualified employer. The professionals's work time goes toward fulfilling the 1,700 hours of required service.
Other requirements are five online education modules and 12 hours of community
service. The incentive is an education award of $4,725 per year of service. Contact the Prairie Director if you are looking for employment, a recent hire, or an employer who is interested in the APC program.

Repayment of Student Loans
Depending on the type of federal loan you have, , the Federal Student Aid website may help you repay your lending institution. You might also consider applying with The National Health Service Corps, a Federal program offering student loan repayment in return for a
term of service. A third option is the AHEC Professional Corps as mentioned above.
